The reports are true, the Après-ski scene here in Deer Valley / Park City is vibrant and lively. Put on your mountain flair and hit the lodge or the hot tub! Whether you ski or don't ski, you can still Après! Here we briefly describe the après scene and it's appeal to skiers and non-skiers alike. Yes - this is one of the things you can do on a ski vacation, even if you never hit the slopes.
And there are après options for every taste, location, mood, AND budget, no matter how you want to transition the twilight of your day on or off the hill!

Après-ski is a French term that translates to “after ski.” Coined in Europe in the 1950s, it refers to the time spent after skiing. Some choose think of après-ski as French for "day drinking in the snow". Alas, either way, picture relaxing in the late afternoon sun, with a hot (or cold) beverage in hand, soaking the lingering rays, and wearing your favorite sweater. The quintessential après might include a jazz combo or outdoor DJ playing quietly nearby as champagne flows by the toasty fire.

You may not have spent the day shredding the slopes nor black diamond runs, but you can still sparkle among the winter wonderland comradery. Location: Deer Valley Upper Resort Ski Beach. Ski directly to The Vintage Room doors from Deer Hollow ski run. This après-ski paradise is also reachable via the resort's funicular. Cross the walkway connecting the bar to the main building.
Attire is après ski chic. Guests must be 21+. Open seasonally in the winter to serve lunch and après ski. Live DJ Thurs - Sun. Reservations recommended.

Due to limited capacity, reservations are highly recommended and can be made on Deer Valley’s website, where you'll also find the latest updates on performances and special events. Designed to pair perfectly with the Champagne, The Après Lounge features a selected bites gourmet menu including caviar, local cheeses & charcuterie, smoked fish and more created by Montage Deer Valley’s expert culinary team.
Located in Empire Village, directly behind the resort with direct access to Ruby, Empire and Lady Morgan ski lifts, The Après Lounge makes for a true skiers’ delight.

Tucked away at mid-mountain, Auberge’s Bavarian-themed Goldener Hirsch Resort Hotel has transformed their outdoor terrace into a chic après lounge complete with plush furnishings, inviting pillows, sheepskin rugs, an outdoor fireplace and seasonal fare. The Goldener Hirsch culinary experts have crafted a menu that celebrates European flavors and Rocky Mountain products.
