The main path is just under a mile long, with optional detours to extend your stroll. Rest your legs and enjoy a picnic lunch at the pavilion with tables, or grab a bite and soak in the water views from the Deer Valley Grocery Cafe patio. Cyclists seeking a longer route can circle the ponds on the larger Deer Valley Drive loop, and even ride down to Main Street.

For the anglers, the ponds are stocked with small trout for catch-and-release fishing. And if you crave a paddle on the water, rentals are available at PCSUP on the beach.

DIRECTIONS to Deer Valley Ponds

Here's how to find this hidden gem:

By Car:

• From I-80, take Exit 14 (Snyderville Basin).

• Head west on S.R. 210 for approximately 2.5 miles.

• Turn left onto Deer Valley Drive.

• Continue for about 0.3 miles, and you'll see the Deer Valley Grocery Cafe on your right.

• Parking is available in the public lot across from the cafe.

Public Transportation:

• Park City offers a free bus system called the Park City Municipal Transit (PCMT).

• Check the PCMT website (https://www.parkcity.org/departments/transit-bus/routes-schedules) for the most up-to-date routes and schedules. Look for a route that stops near Deer Valley Resort or the Deer Valley Grocery Cafe.

Once You Arrive:

• Look for the paved paths behind the Deer Valley Grocery Cafe.

• These paths will lead you around the series of small lakes that make up the Deer Valley Ponds.

Tips:

• Parking, especially during peak seasons, can be limited. Consider arriving early or utilizing public transportation.

• Restrooms are not located directly at the Deer Valley Ponds, but they can be found at the nearby Deer Valley Resort.

• Remember to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat if visiting during sunny days.

Getting to Park City SUP

Park City SUP is located on the backside of Deer Valley Plaza, just a 2 minute drive up Deer Valley Drive from Main Street.
