Fall is said to be the shortest season in Park City, but it's very special nonetheless. The temperatures begin to cool down, summer crowds subside, and the leaves start to display their colors. It does seems to happen too quickly. At it's peak in early October, the hillsides are completely blanketed in layers of golden aspens, orange scrub oaks, and fiery red maples, creating a truly festive glow. Although our autumn is short, there are plenty of ways to take advantage of the crisp weather and natural beauty of this mountain paradise.
This vivid backdrop and cooler weather are ideal for fall festivals, outdoor dining, live music, and family-friendly activities. Some festival venues can only be accessed via chairlift, and thus the ride up and down become part of nature's show.
Each Wednesday during the growing season, Park City hosts the Farmers’ Market, offering food trucks, fresh produce, fresh baked bread, and arts and crafts from local vendors. Pick up some amazing mushroom, peaches, prunes, apricots, apples, tomatoes, and much more.

Raise your glasses for Park City’s annual Shot Ski event, hosted by Park City Sunrise Rotary Club. Participants line Park City’s Historic Main Street to throw one back in October. It's an ongoing rivalry with Breckenridge, CO - so come help Park City keep the reigning championship title!
